"We need some help. Can I call you?"

Philip Morgan

If you're struggling to attract clients online, the following could happen to you too:

--- I just wanted to reach out to say thank you.

I’ve been following you on the podcasts you feature on and listening avidly to your 'words of wisdom' regarding positioning.

I’m a freelance Drupal developer and have always had trouble getting people to fill in the damn contact form on my website. Based on the things you talk about, I changed my whole approach. I started positioning. And it seems to be working a treat.

I only get three or four visits on my site but I’m getting about one lead a day coming in. As far as I can see, that’s a pretty good conversion rate.

Here’s what one lead said to me when he filled out my contact form today.

“We are having the exact problem you describe on your homepage. We need some help. Can I call you?"

We jumped on a call and worked out an engagement pretty much straight away. I didn’t really have to try to ‘win them over'. So strange, but it makes so much sense to position - even if just a little a first.

This has also happened with other people lately. But I thought that email was pretty blatant proof of how positioning works.

So again, Philip, I just wanted to take the time to thank you for the advice you openly and freely give to people like me who are struggling with this stuff.

This came from list member Peter in the UK, who emailed me last week.

Peter didn't even have to buy my book to get those kind of results.
