Not Qualified

Philip Morgan

From the New York times:------A 36-year-old lawyer who has never tried a case and who was unanimously deemed “not qualified” by the American Bar Association has been approved for a lifetime federal district judgeship by the Senate Judiciary Committee.------I suspect this is related to how many of you feel when I say "you've got to figure out how to go beyond just coding to deliver economically valuable outcomes to your clients." You feel not qualified to do that.I always think it's the opposite. If you can parse XML, you can figure out how to use custom software to deliver value to a business. Don't conflate unfamiliarity with difficulty. :)-PKnow a self-employed software developer who might benefit from specialization? Send 'em this free gift! Details here --> /referrals/
