I spoke with Samuel Hulick about his journey from general UX designer to being well known as the "user onboarding guy". I was particularly struck by several aspects of Samuel's story:
- He really embraced constraints in his marketing and kept it simple
- While writing his book, he had a somewhat limited runway paved with a credit card. I was impressed with his ability to produce a successful book under that kind of pressure.
He has a very interesting story about the process of finding a match between what you do and how your customers talk about what you do in their own language.
